It feels like Christmas each time the a little brown box from my fine art printer arrives at my door. I have to resist the urge of tackling my UPS driver and ripping the box open. If only he know that he was delivering a cherished heirlooms that are going to be passed on for generations to come. This week among the packages or presents as I call them was Amy and Nate’s stunning wedding album. I was honored to be their wedding photographer last October at the picturesque Zorvino Vinyards. Amy paid attention to every detail even down to the bottom of her shoes. Take a look at the story of their day.

- Amy and Nate’s Wedding Album Cover.
Their custom cover is printed canvas that wraps around the album. The right side is the front and the left side of the image is the back.

The opening album spread. The pages open to a grand size of 12x18.
I love photographing all the little creative details my brides spend time working on. Check out her shoes. “I do ” and a special skull for her groom.

Amy and her girls were so fun to work with. The pins on their dresses are all unique and were hand chosen for each of them.

I love when a bride and groom choose to have a first glance. It is such a special moment when they see each other for the first time.
Our album pages are seamless and each of them lay completely flat. This allows us to design albums where images can lay across the entire spread.
Fall is such a beautiful time in New England and is one of the most popular wedding seasons. Amy and Nate with their bridal party gather for a non tradition group photo in the vineyard.

I love the Bridal Mickey and Mini hats. They were a gift from the brides sister in honor of their honeymoon destination.
Photography was very important to Amy and Nate. They made sure their wedding timeline included time for portraits. These were taken just before going to the ceremony.

They are such a fairytale couple. You can see how in love they are just by how they look at each other.
A toast to the future.
Amy’s sisters speech was so touching I even teared up. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

This was the first year for our baby duck mini sessions. It was so much fun that we have decided to do this every year in March at our Portland Maine portrait studio. Here are a few of our favorites.

I love how animals can bring out the tender loving side of children.
These little guys were so funny. Excited to see the ducks and timid at the same time. Here is a cute shot catching their excitement.

I have had the pleasure of working with Lauren this past summer and was very excited when she told me of the florist shop she was opening in Cape Elizabeth. Fiddleheads is a unique local florist specializing in innovative personalized floral design for any occasion.

“One of the best parts of owning my own flower shop is that I am able to work one on one with each couple. I love to help them take their original and unique ideas and create flowers for their special day the way they have envisioned. ”

For me social media has always been a key tool used to grow my own studio in Portland, Maine. I never had intentions on becoming a pubic speaker. As I got further into internet marketing, social media and search engine optimizations I began to notice the interest others had in learning how to use these tool effectively. And how to work them into a strong campaign for their business. When I was asked to speak I was more then happy to extend what I had learned onto others. And of course they didn’t exactly have to twist my arm for me to leave Maine’s freezing temps for sunshine and 80 degree days.
